This project was developed during the Master’s in Product Service System Design at Politecnico di Milano.
Our goal was to apply circular economy principles to the beauty industry. After researching the makeup market, we focused on the problem of leftover products—both unsold items and unused makeup at home. To find sustainable solutions, we ran a series of experiments and discovered a promising idea: turning makeup leftovers into paint.
The final outcome wasn’t just the paint itself but a complete service system, detailed in the PDF below. We created a stakeholder map, user personas, and designed key touchpoints. The project was showcased at the "Disrupting Orders" exhibition at STECCA 3.0 in Milan in February 2025.
